“Run for Life” charity run raises over 10 thousand USD for children with disabilities in Uganda

Once again, the No One Left Out Foundation organised the charity run “Run for Life” during the Summer Conference in Sarons Dal, raising funds for children with disabilities in Uganda. A total of 230 participants took part, and approximately USD 10 thousand was raised through private sponsors and fundraising campaigns.
“It’s simply amazing to see what is possible when people come together for a cause,” says Terje Eiken of the No One Left Out Foundation.
“The goal is for participants to find sponsors, and many were surprised by how much support they received from friends and acquaintances. Several individual fundraising campaigns really took off and raised several hundred dollars each.”
One of the key purposes of the run is to ensure everyone can take part, whether running at full speed or needing a bit of extra support. Mothers ran and walked with children in strollers; several wheelchair users—who undoubtedly set new personal endurance records—participated; and many dressed in fantastic costumes that brought laughter and smiles to both runners and spectators.
The event began with a children’s race, followed by a joint race in which both children and adults participated.
Four awards were also presented: “Children’s Favourite Runner,” “The Big Spender,” “Top Fundraiser,” and “Audience Award.”
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, and to all those who cheered, supported, and helped create such a joyful atmosphere!
