2. Processing of personal data for website visitors
2.1 Embedded content from other websites
Pages on this website may include embedded content (e.g., videos). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if you had visited the website from which the embedded content originates.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking systems, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content. For website administrators logging in with a user account, this may include tracking actions through the embedded content.
The policies and procedures described in this privacy policy do not apply to third-party websites. Links from The No One Left Foundation to third-party websites do not imply that the foundation endorses or has reviewed these websites. We recommend that users contact such websites directly for information about their privacy practices.

When you visit the login page, a temporary cookie is set to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.
For employees and contributors who log in, cookies are created to store login details and display preferences.
Login cookies expire after two days, while display preference cookies last for one year. If “Remember me” is selected, login information is stored for two weeks. When logging out, these cookies are removed.
If an employee or contributor edits or publishes an article, an additional cookie is stored in the browser. This cookie contains no personal data, only the ID of the edited article, and expires after one day.
2.3 Users with an account on the website
For employees and contributors with a user account, personal data provided in the user profile is stored. All users may view, edit, and delete their own personal data at any time (except for usernames). Website administrators may also view and edit this information.
Employees and contributors may request an export file containing all personal data we hold about them. They may also request deletion of their personal data. Personal data does not include data retained for administrative, legal, or security reasons.
If a password reset is requested, the user’s IP address will be included in the password reset email.

After this period, the information may remain in backups and will be deleted in accordance with our backup routines. The information is not shared with third parties.
The data collected includes name, phone number, and email address. The No One Left Foundation advises against submitting sensitive information via the contact form or email.
The information is used solely to respond to your inquiry. Temporary storage on the website ensures availability in the event of technical issues with email delivery.
2.5 Event calendar subscriptions
The website uses The Events Calendar to display events. If you subscribe to the calendar, personal data is processed in accordance with the provider’s own privacy policy.
2.6 Purchases of goods and symbolic gifts
The No One Left Foundation uses Shopify as its e-commerce platform, enabling the purchase of goods and symbolic gifts. The online store operates on a separate website with its own privacy policy.
When you complete a purchase or make a symbolic gift, personal data is processed in accordance with the store’s own terms and privacy policy. Shopify and associated payment providers are the data controllers for personal data processed in connection with purchases. The No One Left Foundation receives only the information necessary to administer orders and fulfil agreements.
3. Processing of personal data for supporters
If you make a one-time donation or register as a regular donor, The No One Left Foundation processes only the personal data you voluntarily provide. Processing is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
The legal basis for processing is the agreement between you and the foundation, and consent where required. Processing may also be necessary to comply with legal obligations or to safeguard the foundation’s legitimate interests.
Personal data is processed on the following grounds:
- Contract: administration of donor agreements, donations, payment follow-up, event registrations, and ticket sales
- Consent: distribution of information and newsletters, and use of analytics cookies
- Legal obligation: accounting, bookkeeping, and reporting tax deductions to authorities
- Legitimate interest: internal statistics, service improvement, and secure website operation
All regular donors must be at least 18 years old. If a recurring agreement is registered for a person under 18, it must be linked to a legal guardian.
The foundation uses Tindra, provided by ProFundo, as its donor system. ProFundo also provides the donation form on this website, with Nets and Vipps as payment options. When establishing an AvtaleGiro agreement, payment information is forwarded to Nets for approval.
No automated decision-making or profiling with legal or significant effects is carried out. Humans perform all assessments.
You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
3.1 Purposes of processing
Personal data is used to:
- receive and manage donations
- verify donor identity
- administer and follow up donor agreements
- report tax deductions to authorities when requested
- provide information about the foundation’s work, results, and support opportunities via email, SMS, or post, in accordance with consent
- provide proper service, including handling inquiries related to billing, payments, and donor rights
3.2 Personal data collected
Collected data includes name, address, phone number, mobile number, email address, gender, date of birth, national identity number, and donor recruitment source. We also collect data related to communication history and login details for personal pages.
Reporting tax deductions requires a national identity number. Providing this number is voluntary but necessary to enable reporting.
Donors are encouraged to provide national identity numbers via their personal page or by phone (+47) 38 35 75 00, not by email.
Data is accurate at the time of collection. The foundation maintains routines to update, correct, or delete inaccurate data.
3.3 Storage period
Personal data is stored as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or as long as a lawful basis exists.
Donation-related data is stored for a minimum of five years in accordance with accounting legislation. Data may be retained for a longer period based on legitimate interest until deletion is requested, unless further retention is required by law.
Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
3.4 Use of Vipps
Recurring Vipps donation agreements specify the amount and frequency and may be cancelled at any time. Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary, unless required by law. Vipps retains transaction data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
3.5 Distribution of Troens Bevis Magazine
The No One Left Foundation publishes Troens Bevis Magazine, distributed to donors and supporters.
Contact details such as name and postal address are used solely for production and distribution. Distribution is based on valid consent. If no response is recorded over a continuous two-year period, distribution ceases in line with data minimisation principles.
You may opt out at any time via your personal page or by contacting us.
4. Privacy for beneficiaries and others
The foundation communicates stories from its work and from people receiving support. Special care is taken to protect privacy, especially for children and vulnerable individuals.
Consent is obtained from guardians where possible. If consent is not documented or protection is required, anonymisation and other protective measures are used.
Identities of missionaries, field leaders, and partners are protected through anonymisation, altered names, limited location details, illustrative images, or other protective measures.
Some images may be enhanced or generated using AI technology to protect identities and privacy.
